Give me a hand!

As I continue my review of 2021, here’s a little fabrication project I did inspired by some great antique and current pieces I’ve been seeing around for years. I’d like to do a claddagh some day. For such a ubiquitous design it’s got some complicated elements. How do you model a hand detailed and accurate enough to be something special and small enough to fit on a finger? I had to start a little larger. luckily there was some silver scrap on the bench to experiment with.

My intention was that it should either work as a clasp or be holding something or both, but I’ve yet to decide how that should work or what the other part should be. I am very pleased with how my little fingernails came out, though.
